Maintenance Condition Assessment Program (MCAP)
|
The Maintenance Condition Assessment Program (MCAP) is an ongoing program with the North Carolina Department of Transportation involving the assessment of randomly selected sections of roadway. WEI uses two-man teams to record information on a Tablet PC with ArcPad software. To mark the segments, twelve-inch walking measuring wheels and vehicles equipped with a Distance Measuring Instrument (DMI) are used. The information is then uploaded directly to NCDOT each week. Each quarterly inspection cycle has been completed ahead of schedule. |
