The Transportation Planning Group at Wetherill Engineering, Inc. (WEI) has successfully directed projects from conceptual design through the award of construction contracts. 

This Group, which includes veteran North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) employees, has prepared hundreds of impact studies & developed cost effective designs which resolved transportation needs with minimal impacts to the surrounding area.

Our experience in document preparation includes Environmental Assessments, Categorical Exclusions, Findings of No Significant Impacts, and Section 4(f). 

Preliminary and functional designs are created with cost-efficiency, and environmental impacts and safety in mind.
