Highway Design

The Highway Design Group at Wetherill Engineering, Inc. has designed hundreds of miles of new location and widening/rehabilitation roadways for the North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT), various municipalities and other states. 

The Group has worked on a multitude of designs consisting of many different characteristics in varying terrains.

The Group is experienced in the design of intricate and innovative roadways, including bridges and interchanges varying from directional to semi-directional and cloverleaf to diamond and partial diamond designs. 

It is the Highway Design staff’s primary interest to ensure all designs are both economical and safe.
