Bridge Inspection
Wetherill Engineering, Inc. is known for its innovative, cost-efficient designs & thorough bridge inspections. With veteran North Carolina Department of Transportation (NCDOT) bridge inspectors, backed by trained engineers, we know where to look for problems and the impact they may have on an entire bridge system.
 Our Team has participated in 6 cycles of NCDOT bridge inspections totaling 1,000 bridges. In 2001, 2003 and 2005 WEI inspected one of North Carolina’s longest bridges, the 3-1/2 mile concrete bridge spanning the Albermarle Sound.
Each inspection begins with an intense review of the previous report. We take each inspection & look at every detail with “fresh” eyes. We pre-assemble packets for the bridges with computer generated forms & documentation for that bridge. We have found that digital cameras are not only more efficient but more economical.

Structural Inspection
Wetherill Engineering, Inc. is also known for its structural inspections. These include several routine inspection cycles of metal/wood traffic signal poles, retaining walls, homes and foundations as well as construction inspections.
